We want to thank you for the gift of the Lemonaid Cart. We have been recipients of the goodies on the cart. It’s such a blessing when you’re not feeling your best. The lady volunteering on Monday is so kind! (KIM was the volunteer)

Warren loved you coming around and talking to him. Warren passed away this morning and we would love to have money sent to you for the Lemonaid Cart Ministry in lieu of flowers. (I had not seen Warren for 6 weeks or so but the ministry and the love that was shown was remembered)

A Helping Hand
The Lemonaid Cart is utilized by many of the patients and staff here at Cancer & Hematology. The benefit of the cart is beyond what words can describe for emotional health. And it physically ensures a snack for patients and staff, serving as a meal for some and a treat for others. Staff also utilizes the cart to help with a very busy day when there is no time for a proper meal break. The cart is requested by patients when they don’t see it and welcomed when they do. We are very thankful for the implementation of the cart and those who volunteer to maintain it.

Spirits are lifted!
I can say personally that my spirits are lifted when I see the Cart. I’ve seen firsthand how the care, compassion, and sometimes humor has made all the difference in a patients time here getting treatment. Kathy and her volunteers not only serve the patients here at CHD, they also support the nurses and other staff.

When the patients see the lemonaid cart out it never fails to bring a smile to their face. Some patients spend their whole day with us , so the lemonaid cart experience is always a light in what is a very long day for them. It’s not just the cart they love to see though, the thoughtful conversations they have with the volunteers- always full of kind words, inspiration and hope for them – really means so much to them. All of us here at CHC LOVE the lemonaid cart, and our sweet volunteers.
